Cecilia May Ofcarcik, age 99 years, 8 months, passed away peacefully at her home at Beehive Assisted Living in Coral Canyon on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. She was born Cecilia May Parent April 17, 1917, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, to Frank and Victoria Parent. She married Ralph Ofcarcik at age 21 and they made their home in Holyoke, Massachusetts. In June 1944 their son, Ralph Ofcarcik, Jr., was born.
Cecilia was a loving wife and mother and she eventually trained as a hair dresser, working in her salon at the family home in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Upon retirement in 1981, the Ofcarciks moved to Cedar City, Utah. Cecilia took care of her home and still drove her car until at the amazing age of 95 she moved to Beehive Assisted Living in the town of Washington.
She enjoyed the outdoors, playing the piano and sewing, and she loved all animals. She loved a good cup of coffee and chocolate.
She will be missed by her daughter-in-law Lily Ofcarcik, grandchildren Ben Warburton of Hurricane, Josh Warburton of Springdale, and Aura Carr of Bend, Oregon, as well as many loving nieces and nephews still living in Massachusetts and all of her friends and staff at Beehive Assisted Living.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1994 and her son Ralph Jr. in June 2007.

- A Memorial Celebration of Cecilia’s life will be held at Pine View Mortuary, 566 N. Mall Drive, St. George, on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 3 p.m. All are welcome.
