Kathryn Ann Tillett Hemminger passed away on May 23, 2023, after a brilliant and courageous 12-year battle with breast cancer.
Kathryn was born in Anaheim, California, to Doris and Robert Tillett on April 14, 1959. Kathryn and her family moved to Utah when she was a young child. Kathryn was a member of multiple clubs, including 4H, basketball and the Granger High Swim Team. Kathryn was always active and an independent spirit that marched to the beat of her drum.
Kathryn married Kevin Stark in April 1978 but later divorced. During their time together, they had four wonderful children: Tiffany, Micheal, Nic and Amber. On Aug. 2, 1985, Kathryn married her soulmate Brian and gained another daughter Amber Lynn.
Brian and Kathryn had a love that many aspire to achieve, a love that knew no boundaries and was always unconditional, and a love that spanned 38 wonderful years.
One of Kathryn’s greatest joys in her life was her grandchildren and recently the arrival of two great-grandchildren.
Kathryn is survived by her loving husband Brian Hemminger; daughters Tiffany (Uintah) Monty, Amber (Travis) Shields; her son Nic (Abby) Stark; 10 grandchildren (Micheal Joe, Shayne, Dominik, Thomas, John, Kaylee, Samantha, Stephanie, Spencer, Izzie); two great-grandchildren (Aiyanna and Ricardo); her mother Doris; brother David; and sister, Karen.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert, her daughter Amber and her son Micheal.
Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and aides of Intermountain Hospice for the incredible care they provided.
