Gary Simister, 86, passed away peacefully on Nov. 28, 2022. He was born to Earl and Florence Simister. He graduated from West High school in Salt Lake City in 1955. He worked various jobs, then worked for the State of Utah and finally, for the Utah Highway Patrol. He also served in the Air National Guard.
Gary is survived by wife Judy, son Ryan (Fancy) of Gilbert, Arizona; daughter Connie, brother Phil, granddaughter Cassidy and niece Diane (Garn) Merrill.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at The Meadows at Escalante for their loving care and Dr. Janie Earle and Canyon Home Care and Hospice.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at Tonaquint Cemetery.
