Departed from this earthly life on April 30, 2022. She was tucked peacefully in bed and surrounded by her family.
Kelley Anne Staheli (McCarroll) was born on Oct. 2, 1979, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Thomas McCarroll and Roline Kelly. She had beautiful blonde curls, bright blue eyes and the most kissable cheeks (all of which followed her into adulthood).
She immigrated to America with her mom and younger sister Rebecca in 1993. Kelley’s Irish heritage was a great source of pride to her. She often spoke of the day she would bring her son, Mikey, to visit the Emerald Isle. For this reason, her family has chosen to bring her ashes back to Ireland as her final resting place.
Kelley was an avid lover of nature. She loved to hike, feed the ducks and learn about rare plants. From an early age, she has been a fierce animal advocate and has rescued and cared for countless furry friends. She always took note of the simple pleasures in life. A good cup of tea, a rainy day and feeding her backyard birds were just a few of her favorites.
Kelley had a strong relationship with God. In recent years her faith has grown exponentially and brought her a great deal of comfort through her heroic battle with cancer. She worked as a nurse at long-term care facilities. Kelley had a huge soft spot for the less fortunate and loved her patients like family. She was even known to visit them on her days off.
Although Kelley cared for so many others, the most important person in her life was her son, Mikey. At 19 she became a mother and from then on, he has been her whole world. Kelley and Mikey took on life together, as mother and son, and as best friends. They were each other’s rocks, and he will always be her greatest joy.
Kelley’s resilience and strength were extraordinary. Her life’s journey of love, pain, recovery and faith has inspired so many.
Kelley is preceded in death by her father Thomas McCarroll.
She is survived by her son Michael Staheli, her mother Roline Kapcsos, her sister Rebecca Bell (Justin), brothers Shawn Kapcsos and Branden Kapcsos, nieces Emma Bell and Ada Bell, nephew Isaac Bell, as well as countless other family members, both blood and honorary.

Irish Blessing:
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
