Drex TaylorDrex Jade Taylor, 18, born and raised in Diamond Valley, Utah, returned home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 22, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Drex attended Diamond Valley Elementary, Tonaquint Intermediate, Dixie Middle and Dixie High School.

He was a very talented young man who participated in Junior Rodeo in his very early years. He was also in 4-H, showing sheep at the Dixie Livestock Show. Drex then found his true passion and love in the sports of basketball and football. He played many years with the “Think Swish” Basketball Club and Dixie High School with basketball coach Ryan Cuff. Ryan was a true mentor whom he dearly loved and respected.

Drex was greatly influenced through his years with Dixie Junior football and Dixie High School Flyer football. His high school football coach, Andy Stokes, really took Drex under his wing and helped him through some of life’s challenges. Drex loved to be with his friends, just hanging out or hiking. He will be missed by many.

Drex is survived by his parents, Tonya and Joseph Terry of Diamond Valley, Utah, and Jade and Hanah Taylor of Washington, Utah; siblings, Taryn (Colby) Jensen, Katelyn Terry, Traysen Taylor, Kelsey, Joey and Rylan Terry, Madison and Remmi Taylor; Grandparents, Clifton and Kay Taylor of Aurora, Utah, Trena Wood and Kelly Taylor of St. George, and LeAnn Gillespie of St. George; many cousins, nieces, nephew and friends.

Thanks to all that have reached out to Drex and helped him through his 18 years on this earth. There are too many to name. Also a grateful ‘thanks’ to all the UHP and all the medical personnel who helped with the automobile accident. Words can never show our gratitude for what you have done.
