Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother LaRue Cripps Bleak passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 at the age of 83.
She was born Sept. 14, 1938 in Cedar City, Utah, to Clarence and Mable Cripps. She married her high school sweetheart, Dee Bleak, on March 15, 1957. They became an eternal family on Jan. 30, 1965 in the St. George Temple. Together they had four children, DeeAnn, Lynette, Kristin and Mark and were blessed to raise their granddaughter, Leslie.
LaRue was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She served faithfully in many church callings, was a friend to everyone and was always there to lend a helping hand or listening ear. She truly was an example of Christlike love and what it meant to minister to all. She always put the needs of others before her own. She was everything good. She was light, she was love, she was hope!
She enjoyed quilting, reading, playing cards, watching the Hallmark Channel and summers on the mountain with her family.
Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment she spent with them. They were the light of her life.
She also loved spending time with her best friend, Suzanne.
She is survived by her Children DeeAnn Allen, Lynette (Todd) Stapley, Kristin (Neil) Stratton, Mark (Katherine) Bleak, 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and brothers Brent and Richard Cripps.
She is preceded death by her loving husband, parents, sisters Cleone and Lois, and brothers Chet, Keith, Gary and Bruce.
