Feb. 11, 2001 – Dec. 26, 2018

Brianna Jo Stevens, born on Feb. 11, 2001, was called home at the age of 17 on Dec. 26, 2018, from a rare brain disease called Moyamoya.

Brianna was a young, dedicated girl with a long promising life ahead of her. She had an endless thirst to grow, learn and ensured to never let anything or anyone hinder her from meeting her goals. A leader in many ways, Brianna always tried to find positivity in things and spread her contagious energy to everyone around her.

Brianna was a generous, caring, loving, hardworking and sassy girl who loved her life riding ATVs, going on cruises, laughing, traveling, watching Netflix, painting, crafting, spending time with family, friends and giving back to her community.

Brianna was in her senior year at Rancho High School and due to graduate with honors on May 28, 2019. Brianna spent most of her time and energy excelling in her academics in the Sports Medical Magnet Program, participating in Student Council and Magnet Student Ambassadors along with building unforgettable memories with her friends. Brianna was yet to decide where she was going to attend college, but started early applying to Utah’s Dixie State University, University of Nevada Las Vegas and University of Nevada Reno.

Brianna is survived by her two parents, Denny and Bridget Stevens; her two sisters, Alurea and Haylee Stevens; her grandparents, Sharron Stevens, Roger and Teresa Peters, Mary Peters; her uncles and aunts; her cousins; her close friends; and her great love of her three dogs, Cinnamon, Khloe and Jiminy.

Brianna joins her grandfather, Alvin Stevens; uncle, Carlos Cortez; great grandparents, Theron and Ossie Stevens, Wickley and Ruth Gubler, Harold and Florabell Peters and Anita Fox.

The memory of Brianna’s 17-year-old warm laughter, smile and personality will be greatly missed and will live on through all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the neurosurgery department at University of California, Los Angeles in Brianna’s name for research and cure development of the deadly disease Moyamoya. You can donate here or here.
