Alice Elaine Shohan Perrenoud, 79, passed away peacefully in her home in Ivins, Utah, Jan. 3, 2016. Alice was born in Dover, New Jersey, to Joseph and Stella Supeski Shohan.
Alice was raised in Dover, New Jersey, and graduated from Woodbridge High School with continued education in switch board operation. She married Theo L. Perrenoud, and they later divorced after having and raising four children.
Alice lived in Ely, Nevada, and Salt Lake City, Utah, before retiring with 15 years of service with Mode-O-Day as a seamstress and supervisor and 15 years of service at Mervin’s Distribution Center. Alice loved the outdoors, fishing and spending time with family and close friends whom she traveled with.
Alice was preceded in death by her father, mother and two granddaughters.
She is survived by her brother, Joseph (Betty) Shohan of Spring Hill, Tennessee; sister, Shirley Wilk Carteret of New Jersey; daughter, Kathy (Sam) Houston of Ivins, Utah; son David Perrenoud of Fredericksburg, Texas; son Calvin (Susan) Perrenoud of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; son Robert (Kathy) Perrenoud of Vernal, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
- A graveside service will be held Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, 3 p.m., at the Ivins City Cemetery, 400 N. 200 West, Ivins, Utah.
